अपि पौरुषमादेयं शास्त्रं चेद्युक्तिबोधकम् ।

Even a human-authored treatise should be accepted if it teaches reason; but any other, even if it originates from a sage (ārṣa), should be abandoned. One should indeed be a follower solely of justice and reason.
