वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-7, chapter-32, verse-11

सव्येतरकराङ्गुल्या सशब्दं च दशाननः ।
वेगप्रभवमन्वेष्टुं सो ऽदिशच्छुकसारणौ ॥११॥
11. savyetarakarāṅgulyā saśabdaṃ ca daśānanaḥ ,
vegaprabhavamanveṣṭuṃ so'diśacchukasāraṇau.

vegaprabhavam anveṣṭum saḥ adiśat śukasāraṇau
11. ca daśānanaḥ saḥ savyetarakarāṅgulyā saśabdam

11. And Daśānana (Rāvaṇa), loudly with the finger of his right hand, ordered Śuka and Sāraṇa to investigate the source of the current.
