मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-2, verse-62

तथापि यत्नः कर्तव्यो नरैः सर्वेषु कर्मसु ।
कुर्वन् पुरुषकारन्तु वाच्यतां याति नो सताम् ॥६२॥
62. tathāpi yatnaḥ kartavyo naraiḥ sarveṣu karmasu .
kurvan puruṣakārantu vācyatāṃ yāti no satām.
62. tathā api yatnaḥ kartavyaḥ naraiḥ sarveṣu karmasu
kurvan puruṣakāram tu vācyatām yāti no satām
62. Nevertheless, effort should be made by people in all their actions (karma). Indeed, one who makes human effort (puruṣakāra) does not incur censure from good people.
