मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-2, verse-35

कुरु-पाण्डवयोर्युद्धे वर्तमाने सुदारुणे ।
भावित्वाच्चैव कार्यस्य रणमध्ये विवेश सा ॥३५॥
35. kuru-pāṇḍavayoryuddhe vartamāne sudāruṇe .
bhāvitvāccaiva kāryasya raṇamadhye viveśa sā.
35. kuru-pāṇḍavayoḥ yuddhe vartamāne sudāruṇe
bhāvitvāt ca eva kāryasya raṇamadhye viveśa sā
35. While the exceedingly fierce battle between the Kurus and Pāṇḍavas was taking place, she, by the inevitability of the destined event (kārya), entered into the thick of the battle.
