मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-2, verse-29

तामादाय खगश्रेष्ठः स्वकं गृहमगात् पुनः ।
गत्वा स निष्कृतिं भ्रातुर्विद्युद्रुपनिपातनात् ॥२९॥
29. tāmādāya khagaśreṣṭhaḥ svakaṃ gṛhamagāt punaḥ .
gatvā sa niṣkṛtiṃ bhrāturvidyudrupanipātanāt.
29. tām ādāya khagaśreṣṭhaḥ svakam gṛham agāt punaḥ
gatvā sa niṣkṛtim bhrātuḥ vidyudrūpanipātanāt
29. Having taken her, the best of birds (Garuda) returned to his own home. By the lightning-like demise, he had obtained expiation for his brother.
