मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-2, verse-22

तिष्ठ क्षणं नात्र जीवन् पतगाधम यास्यसि ।
इत्युक्त्वाञ्जनपुञ्जाभं विमलं खड्गमाददे ॥२२॥
22. tiṣṭha kṣaṇaṃ nātra jīvan patagādhama yāsyasi .
ityuktvāñjanapuñjābhaṃ vimalaṃ khaḍgamādade.
22. tiṣṭha kṣaṇam na atra jīvan patagādhama yāsyasi
iti uktvā añjanapuñjābham vimalam khaḍgam ādade
22. "Stand for a moment! You will not leave here alive, O lowest of birds (patagādhama)!" Having said this, he took up a spotless sword, resembling a heap of collyrium.
