मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-2, verse-39

तत्पातसमकालं च सुप्रतीकाद्गजोत्तमात् ।
पपात महती घष्टा बाणसंछिन्नबन्धना ॥३९॥
39. tatpātasamakālaṃ ca supratīkādgajottamāt .
papāta mahatī ghaṣṭā bāṇasaṃchinnabandhanā.
39. tat-pāta-samakālam ca supratīkāt gaja-uttamāt
papāta mahatī ghaṣṭā bāṇa-saṃchinna-bandhanā
39. And at the very moment of their fall, a great bell (ghaṣṭā) fell from the excellent elephant (Supratīka), its fastenings having been severed by arrows.
