मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-2, verse-46

तानि तत्र तथा भूमौ शमीको भगवान् मुनिः ।
दृष्ट्वा स विस्मयाविष्टः प्रोवाचानुगतान् द्विजान् ॥४६॥
46. tāni tatra tathā bhūmau śamīko bhagavān muniḥ .

46. The revered sage (muni) Śamīka, seeing those (children) lying thus on the ground, became filled with astonishment and spoke to the Brahmins (dvijas) who were following him.
