मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-2, verse-6

तद्दृष्टमात्रं कङ्केन रक्षः क्रोधसमन्वितम् ।
प्रोवाच कस्मादायातस्त्वमितो ह्यण्डजाधम ॥६॥
6. taddṛṣṭamātraṃ kaṅkena rakṣaḥ krodhasamanvitam .
provāca kasmādāyātastvamito hyaṇḍajādhama.

provāca kasmāt āyātaḥ tvam itaḥ hi aṇḍajādham
6. Immediately upon being seen by Kaṅka, the demon, enraged, spoke: 'From where have you come here, O meanest of egg-born creatures?'
