मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-2, verse-36

तत्रापश्यत् तदा युद्धं भगदत्तकिरीटिनोः ।
निरन्तरं शरैरासीदाकाशं शलभैरिव ॥३६॥
36. tatrāpaśyat tadā yuddhaṃ bhagadattakirīṭinoḥ .
nirantaraṃ śarairāsīdākāśaṃ śalabhairiva.
36. tatra apaśyat tadā yuddham bhagadatta-kirīṭinoḥ
nirantaram śaraiḥ āsīt ākāśam śalabhaiḥ iva
36. Then, there, he saw the battle between Bhagadatta and Kirīṭin (Arjuna). The sky was continuously filled with arrows, as if with locusts.
