महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-9, verse-61

पाण्डवैरवकीर्णानां संमोहः समजायत ।
न च जज्ञुरनीकानि दिशो वा प्रदिशस्तथा ॥६१॥
61. pāṇḍavairavakīrṇānāṁ saṁmohaḥ samajāyata ,
na ca jajñuranīkāni diśo vā pradiśastathā.

ca jajñuḥ anīkāni diśaḥ vā pradiśaḥ tathā

61. Great confusion (saṃmōhaḥ) arose among those who were overwhelmed by the Pāṇḍavas. They could not discern their own battle formations (anīkāni), nor the cardinal directions (diśo), nor even the intermediate directions (pradiśas).
