महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-9, verse-39

सा तस्य हृदयं संख्ये बिभेद शतधा नृप ।
स पपात रथाद्भूमौ गतसत्त्वोऽल्पचेतनः ॥३९॥

39. sā tasya hṛdayaṁ saṁkhye bibheda śatadhā nṛpa ,
sa papāta rathādbhūmau gatasattvo'lpacetanaḥ.

39. nṛpa,
sā saṃkhye tasya hṛdayam śatadhā bibheda.
saḥ rathāt bhūmau papāta,
gatasattvaḥ alpacetanaḥ [san].

39. O king, that [weapon] pierced his heart a hundredfold in battle. He fell from his chariot to the ground, his life (sattva) having departed, and with little consciousness.
