महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-9, verse-14

हयांश्चास्य शरैस्तीक्ष्णैः प्रेषयामास मृत्यवे ।
तथा ध्वजं सारथिं च त्रिभिस्त्रिभिरपातयत् ॥१४॥

14. hayāṁścāsya śaraistīkṣṇaiḥ preṣayāmāsa mṛtyave ,
tathā dhvajaṁ sārathiṁ ca tribhistribhirapātayat.

14. With his sharp arrows, he sent his horses to their death. Similarly, he also struck down the banner and the charioteer, each with three arrows.
