महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-68, verse-56

वज्रकल्पैः शरैर्भूमिं कुर्वन्नुत्तरशोणिताम् ।
प्राविशद्भारतीं सेनां संक्रुद्धो वै धनंजयः ।
तं श्रुतायुस्तथाम्बष्ठो व्रजमानं न्यवारयत् ॥५६॥
56. vajrakalpaiḥ śarairbhūmiṁ kurvannuttaraśoṇitām ,
prāviśadbhāratīṁ senāṁ saṁkruddho vai dhanaṁjayaḥ ,
taṁ śrutāyustathāmbaṣṭho vrajamānaṁ nyavārayat.
56. vajrakalpais śaraiḥ bhūmim kurvan
uttaraśoṇitām prāviśat bhāratīm senām
saṃkruddhaḥ vai dhanañjayaḥ tam śrutāyuḥ
tathā ambaṣṭhaḥ vrajamānam nyavārayat

śaraiḥ bhūmim uttaraśoṇitām kurvan
bhāratīm senām prāviśat śrutāyuḥ

56. The enraged Dhanañjaya (Arjuna), making the ground completely bloody with his thunderbolt-like arrows, indeed entered the Bhārata army. Śrutāyu and Ambaṣṭha then blocked him as he advanced.
