महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-68, verse-48

शिरस्त्राणक्षुद्रमत्स्यां युगान्ते कालसंभृताम् ।
अकरोद्गजसंबाधां नदीमुत्तरशोणिताम् ।
देहेभ्यो राजपुत्राणां नागाश्वरथसादिनाम् ॥४८॥
48. śirastrāṇakṣudramatsyāṁ yugānte kālasaṁbhṛtām ,
akarodgajasaṁbādhāṁ nadīmuttaraśoṇitām ,
dehebhyo rājaputrāṇāṁ nāgāśvarathasādinām.

48. He made a river, overflowing with blood, crowded with elephants, with helmets as its small fish, and resembling a river swollen by Time (kāla) as if at the end of an age (yuga), formed from the bodies of princes and those riding elephants, horses, and chariots.
