महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-68, verse-10

तावर्जुनं सहस्रेण पत्रिणां नतपर्वणाम् ।
पूरयामासतुः क्रुद्धौ तडागं जलदौ यथा ॥१०॥
10. tāvarjunaṁ sahasreṇa patriṇāṁ nataparvaṇām ,
pūrayāmāsatuḥ kruddhau taḍāgaṁ jaladau yathā.

pūrayāmāsatuḥ kruddhau taḍāgam jaladau yathā

10. Enraged, those two filled Arjuna with a thousand arrows (patriṇām) with bent shafts (nataparvaṇām), just as two clouds fill a pond.
