महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-158, verse-54

कर्णमासाद्य संग्रामे दिष्ट्या जीवति फल्गुनः ।
सव्यसाचिवधाकाङ्क्षी शक्तिं रक्षितवान्हि सः ॥५४॥
54. karṇamāsādya saṁgrāme diṣṭyā jīvati phalgunaḥ ,
savyasācivadhākāṅkṣī śaktiṁ rakṣitavānhi saḥ.

savyasācivadhākāṅkṣī śaktim rakṣitavān hi saḥ
54. diṣṭyā phalgunaḥ saṃgrāme karṇam āsādya jīvati

54. Fortunately, Phalguna (Arjuna) lives, having encountered Karṇa in battle. For he (Karṇa), desiring the death of Savyasācī (Arjuna), had indeed preserved his divine spear (śakti).
