महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-154, verse-50

तस्मादेनं राक्षसं घोररूपं जहि शक्त्या दत्तया वासवेन ।
मा कौरवाः सर्व एवेन्द्रकल्पा रात्रीमुखे कर्ण नेशुः सयोधाः ॥५०॥
50. tasmādenaṁ rākṣasaṁ ghorarūpaṁ; jahi śaktyā dattayā vāsavena ,
mā kauravāḥ sarva evendrakalpā; rātrīmukhe karṇa neśuḥ sayodhāḥ.
50. tasmāt enam rākṣasam ghorarūpam
jahi śaktyā dattayā vāsavena mā
kauravāḥ sarve eva indrakalpāḥ
rātrīmukhe karṇa neśuḥ sayodhāḥ
50. tasmāt vāsavena dattayā śaktyā
enam ghorarūpam rākṣasam jahi

50. Therefore, kill this dreadful-looking demon with the powerful spear (śakti) given by Vāsava (Indra)! O Karna, let not all the Kauravas, mighty like Indra, perish with their warriors at the onset of night!
