ततोऽतुलैर्वज्रनिपातकल्पैः शितैः शरैः काञ्चनचित्रपुङ्खैः ।
शत्रून्व्यपोहत्समरे महात्मा वैकर्तनः पुत्रहिते रतस्ते ॥१०॥

śatrūnvyapohatsamare mahātmā; vaikartanaḥ putrahite rataste.

10. Then, that great-souled Vaikartana (Karna), who was engaged in the welfare of your sons, scattered the enemies in battle with incomparable, sharp arrows, resembling the impact of a thunderbolt and having beautifully ornate gold-feathered shafts.
