महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-154, verse-29

तां शक्तिपाषाणपरश्वधानां प्रासासिवज्राशनिमुद्गराणाम् ।
वृष्टिं विशालां ज्वलितां पतन्तीं कर्णः शरौघैर्न शशाक हन्तुम् ॥२९॥
29. tāṁ śaktipāṣāṇaparaśvadhānāṁ; prāsāsivajrāśanimudgarāṇām ,
vṛṣṭiṁ viśālāṁ jvalitāṁ patantīṁ; karṇaḥ śaraughairna śaśāka hantum.

29. Karṇa was unable to counteract that vast, blazing, falling shower of javelins (śakti), stones, axes, lances, swords, thunderbolts, and hammers with his torrents of arrows.
