महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-154, verse-39

एवं महच्छस्त्रवर्षं सृजन्तस्ते यातुधाना भुवि घोररूपाः ।
मायाः सृष्टास्तत्र घटोत्कचेन नामुञ्चन्वै याचमानं न भीतम् ॥३९॥
39. evaṁ mahacchastravarṣaṁ sṛjanta;ste yātudhānā bhuvi ghorarūpāḥ ,
māyāḥ sṛṣṭāstatra ghaṭotkacena; nāmuñcanvai yācamānaṁ na bhītam.
39. evam mahat śastra-varṣam sṛjantaḥ
te yātudhānāḥ bhuvi ghorarūpāḥ
māyāḥ sṛṣṭāḥ tatra ghaṭotkacena

39. Thus, those dreadful-looking demons (yātudhāna), showering a great rain of weapons on the ground, did not spare those who begged for mercy nor those who were afraid, even when illusions (māyā) were created there by Ghaṭotkaca.
