महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-6, chapter-45, verse-23

पराक्रान्तस्य तस्यैव भीष्मोऽपि प्राहिणोच्छरान् ।
स तांश्चिच्छेद समरे भीष्मचापच्युताञ्शरान् ॥२३॥
23. parākrāntasya tasyaiva bhīṣmo'pi prāhiṇoccharān ,
sa tāṁściccheda samare bhīṣmacāpacyutāñśarān.

sa tān ciccheda samare bhīṣmacāpacyutān śarān
23. tasya eva parākrāntasya bhīṣmaḥ api śarān prāhiṇot
sa samare bhīṣmacāpacyutān tān śarān ciccheda
23. Even as he (Abhimanyu) displayed his prowess, Bhishma too discharged arrows. He (Abhimanyu), in battle, cut down those arrows that had been shot from Bhishma's bow.
