महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-50, verse-56

संशये तु महत्यस्मिन्किं नु मे क्षममुत्तमम् ।
विनाशं ह्येव पश्यामि कुरूणामनुचिन्तयन् ॥५६॥

56. saṁśaye tu mahatyasminkiṁ nu me kṣamamuttamam ,
vināśaṁ hyeva paśyāmi kurūṇāmanucintayan.

56. saṃśaye tu mahati asmin kim nu me kṣamam uttamam
| vināśam hi eva paśyāmi kurūṇām anucintayan

56. But in this great doubt, what indeed is the best and most beneficial course of action for me? For I foresee only the destruction of the Kurus as I contemplate this situation.
