महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-50, verse-53

न तु मन्ये विघाताय ज्ञानं दुःखस्य संजय ।
भवत्यतिबले ह्येतज्ज्ञानमप्युपघातकम् ॥५३॥
53. na tu manye vighātāya jñānaṁ duḥkhasya saṁjaya ,
bhavatyatibale hyetajjñānamapyupaghātakam.
53. na tu manye vighātāya jñānam duḥkhasya saṃjaya
| bhavati atibale hi etat jñānam api upaghātakam
53. O Sanjaya, I do not believe that knowledge (jñāna) necessarily removes sorrow. Indeed, for one who is exceedingly powerful, even this knowledge can become destructive.
