महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-159, verse-60

पुमांसं बन्धयेत्प्राज्ञः शयने तप्त आयसे ।
अप्यादधीत दारूणि तत्र दह्येत पापकृत् ॥६०॥
60. pumāṁsaṁ bandhayetprājñaḥ śayane tapta āyase ,
apyādadhīta dārūṇi tatra dahyeta pāpakṛt.

60. A sensible authority should bind a man on a heated iron bed. One should then place logs (firewood) there, so that the evildoer is burned.
