महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-159, verse-54

उक्तः पशुसमो धर्मो राजन्प्राणिनिपातनात् ।
प्रायश्चित्तान्यथान्यानि प्रवक्ष्याम्यनुपूर्वशः ॥५४॥
54. uktaḥ paśusamo dharmo rājanprāṇinipātanāt ,
prāyaścittānyathānyāni pravakṣyāmyanupūrvaśaḥ.
