अञ्जलिं शपथं सान्त्वं प्रणम्य शिरसा वदेत् ।
अश्रुप्रपातनं चैव कर्तव्यं भूतिमिच्छता ॥१७॥

17. añjaliṁ śapathaṁ sāntvaṁ praṇamya śirasā vadet ,

17. One who desires prosperity should speak with conciliatory words, take an oath, and, bowing their head, offer obeisance (añjali) with folded hands. They should also shed tears.
