योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-7, chapter-186, verse-86

यथा नरोऽनुभवति निद्रायां दृषदः स्थितिम् ।
परमात्मानुभवति तथैतज्जडसंस्थितिम् ॥ ८६ ॥
yathā naro'nubhavati nidrāyāṃ dṛṣadaḥ sthitim ,
paramātmānubhavati tathaitajjaḍasaṃsthitim 86

paramātmā anubhavati tathā etat jaḍasaṃsthitim
86. yathā naraḥ nidrāyām dṛṣadaḥ sthitim anubhavati,

86. Just as a person experiences the state of being like a stone (dṛṣadaḥ sthiti) in sleep, similarly, the Supreme Self (paramātman) experiences this state of inert existence (jaḍasaṃsthiti).
