चिदेवायं पदार्थौघो नास्त्यन्यस्मिन्पदार्थता ।
व्यतिरिक्ता स्वप्न इव हेम्नीव कटकादिता ॥ ४० ॥

cidevāyaṃ padārthaugho nāstyanyasminpadārthatā ,
vyatiriktā svapna iva hemnīva kaṭakāditā 40

40. cit eva ayam padārthaughaḥ na asti anyasmin
padārthatā vyatirektā svapna iva hemni iva kaṭakāditā

40. ayam padārthaughaḥ cit eva; anyasmin vyatirektā padārthatā na asti; svapna iva,
hemni iva kaṭakāditā.

40. This entire collection of objects is purely consciousness (cit); there is no separate objective reality in anything else. It is like the distinctness of objects appearing in a dream, or like bangles and other ornaments in gold.

40. כל שפע החפצים הזה אינו אלא צִט (תודעה טהורה). אין שום מהות נפרדת לחפצים הללו, בדיוק כמו בחלום, או כפי שצמיד אינו נפרד מהזהב שממנו הוא עשוי.
