स्ववदातचिदाकाशकचनं जगदुच्यते ।
स्फुरणे पयसामब्धावावर्तचलनं यथा ॥ ४८ ॥

Śrī Vasiṣṭha said: The world is called the manifestation of its own pure space of consciousness (cit), just as the movement of whirlwinds (āvarta) arises in the ocean when its waters are agitated.
