This lotus of Brahmā (Parameṣṭhi)—within whose petal-covered pericarp he is singularly devoted to meditation—rotates in the sky. It rotates as if it were a golden stone, produced from a machine, which itself possesses a watery form and is tossed about by the terrifying wave-crests of agitated mountains.
