अशमः परमं ब्रह्म शमश्च परमं पदम् ।
यद्यप्येवं तथाप्येनं प्रथमं विद्धि शंकरम् ॥ १२ ॥

12. The world of restlessness is indeed the supreme reality (brahman), and tranquility is the supreme state. Even though this is so, nevertheless, first know this, Shankara, as paramount.
