महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-68, verse-24

विमुक्तयन्त्रैर्निहतैरयस्मयैर्हतानुषङ्गैर्विनिषङ्गबन्धुरैः ।
प्रभग्ननीडैर्मणिहेममण्डितैः स्तृता मही द्यौरिव शारदैर्घनैः ॥२४॥
24. vimuktayantrairnihatairayasmayai;rhatānuṣaṅgairviniṣaṅgabandhuraiḥ ,
prabhagnanīḍairmaṇihemamaṇḍitaiḥ; stṛtā mahī dyauriva śāradairghanaiḥ.

24. mahī vimukta-yantraiḥ nihataiḥ ayasmyaiḥ hata-anuṣaṅgaiḥ viniṣaṅga-bandhuraiḥ prabhagna-nīḍaiḥ maṇi-hema-maṇḍitaiḥ stṛtā,
dyauḥ iva śāradaiḥ ghanaiḥ
24. The earth was strewn with those (chariots and warriors) whose mechanisms were shattered, with those struck down and made of iron, with broken attachments, with shattered quivers and frames, with broken seats, and those adorned with jewels and gold, just as the sky is strewn with autumnal clouds.
