महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-35, verse-46

नैव सूर्यप्रभां खं वा न दिशः प्रदिशः कुतः ।
प्राज्ञासिष्म वयं ताभ्यां शरैर्मुक्तैः सहस्रशः ॥४६॥

46. Due to the thousands of arrows released by those two (warriors), we could not discern even the sun's brilliance or the sky, nor the cardinal directions, much less the intermediate directions.
