महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-169, verse-38

एवं परैराचरितं पाण्डवेयैश्च संयुगे ।
रक्षमाणैर्जयं वीरैर्धर्मज्ञैरपि सात्वत ॥३८॥
38. evaṁ parairācaritaṁ pāṇḍaveyaiśca saṁyuge ,
rakṣamāṇairjayaṁ vīrairdharmajñairapi sātvata.

rakṣamāṇaiḥ jayam vīraiḥ dharmajñaiḥ api sātvata

38. O Sātvata, in battle, such actions were committed by the enemies and by the Pāṇḍavas themselves, by heroes protecting their victory, even by those who understand natural law (dharma).
