महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-6, chapter-75, verse-57

ततः शांतनवः क्रुद्धः शरैः संनतपर्वभिः ।
नाशयामास सेनां वै भीष्मस्तेषां महात्मनाम् ।
पाञ्चालानां च सैन्यानि शरैर्निन्ये यमक्षयम् ॥५७॥
57. tataḥ śāṁtanavaḥ kruddhaḥ śaraiḥ saṁnataparvabhiḥ ,
nāśayāmāsa senāṁ vai bhīṣmasteṣāṁ mahātmanām ,
pāñcālānāṁ ca sainyāni śarairninye yamakṣayam.

sannataparvabhiḥ nāśayāmāsa senām vai
bhīṣmaḥ teṣām mahātmanām pāñcālānām
ca sainyāni śaraiḥ ninye yamakṣayam
57. tataḥ kruddhaḥ śāntanavaḥ bhīṣmaḥ sannataparvabhiḥ śaraiḥ teṣām mahātmanām senām vai nāśayāmāsa.

57. Then, the enraged Bhishma, son of Śantanu, indeed destroyed the army of those great warriors with his well-jointed arrows. And with his arrows, he sent the armies of the Pāñcālas to the abode of Yama (god of death).
