महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-222, verse-42

दशान्यानि सहस्राणि येषामन्नं सुसंस्कृतम् ।
ह्रियते रुक्मपात्रीभिर्यतीनामूर्ध्वरेतसाम् ॥४२॥
42. daśānyāni sahasrāṇi yeṣāmannaṁ susaṁskṛtam ,
hriyate rukmapātrībhiryatīnāmūrdhvaretasām.

hriyate rukmapātrībhiḥ yatīnām ūrdhvaretasām
42. Additionally, for another ten thousand ascetics (yati), those who maintain celibacy (ūrdhvaretasāṃ), well-prepared food is carried in golden vessels.
