महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-222, verse-16

पापानुगास्तु पापास्ताः पतीनुपसृजन्त्युत ।
न जातु विप्रियं भर्तुः स्त्रिया कार्यं कथंचन ॥१६॥
16. pāpānugāstu pāpāstāḥ patīnupasṛjantyuta ,
na jātu vipriyaṁ bhartuḥ striyā kāryaṁ kathaṁcana.
16. pāpānugāḥ tu pāpāḥ tāḥ patīn upasṛjanti uta na
jātu vipriyam bhartuḥ striyā kāryam kathaṃcana
16. Indeed, those sinful women who follow evil afflict their husbands. A wife should never, in any way whatsoever, do what is disagreeable to her husband.
