महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-222, verse-13

अमित्रप्रहितांश्चापि गदान्परमदारुणान् ।
मूलप्रवादैर्हि विषं प्रयच्छन्ति जिघांसवः ॥१३॥
13. amitraprahitāṁścāpi gadānparamadāruṇān ,
mūlapravādairhi viṣaṁ prayacchanti jighāṁsavaḥ.

mūlapravādaiḥ hi viṣam prayacchanti jighāṃsavaḥ
13. Those who desire to kill administer exceedingly terrible diseases, and also poisons sent by enemies, through the use of roots and incantations.
