महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-222, verse-56

प्रथमं प्रतिबुध्यामि चरमं संविशामि च ।
नित्यकालमहं सत्ये एतत्संवननं मम ॥५६॥
56. prathamaṁ pratibudhyāmi caramaṁ saṁviśāmi ca ,
nityakālamahaṁ satye etatsaṁvananaṁ mama.

56. I am the first to awaken and the last to retire. O truthful one (satye), this constant dedication of mine is my way of winning affection (saṃvanana).
