महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-222, verse-32

ये च धर्माः कुटुम्बेषु श्वश्र्वा मे कथिताः पुरा ।
भिक्षाबलिश्राद्धमिति स्थालीपाकाश्च पर्वसु ।
मान्यानां मानसत्कारा ये चान्ये विदिता मया ॥३२॥
32. ye ca dharmāḥ kuṭumbeṣu śvaśrvā me kathitāḥ purā ,
bhikṣābaliśrāddhamiti sthālīpākāśca parvasu ,
mānyānāṁ mānasatkārā ye cānye viditā mayā.
32. ye ca dharmāḥ kuṭumbeṣu śvaśrvā me
kathitāḥ purā bhikṣābaliśrāddham iti
sthālīpākāḥ ca parvasu mānyānām
mānasatkārāḥ ye ca anye viditāḥ mayā
32. And those duties (dharma) pertaining to family life, which my mother-in-law formerly instructed me in—such as giving alms, making offerings (bali), performing ancestral rites (śrāddha), and offering pot-cooked oblations on festival days—as well as other acts of honor and respect for the venerable ones that I have learned through my own understanding.
