महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-105, verse-59

गौतम उवाच ।
शिवं सदैवेह सुरेन्द्र तुभ्यं ध्यायामि पूजां च सदा प्रयुञ्जे ।
ममापि त्वं शक्र शिवं ददस्व त्वया दत्तं प्रतिगृह्णामि नागम् ॥५९॥
59. gautama uvāca ,
śivaṁ sadaiveha surendra tubhyaṁ; dhyāyāmi pūjāṁ ca sadā prayuñje ,
mamāpi tvaṁ śakra śivaṁ dadasva; tvayā dattaṁ pratigṛhṇāmi nāgam.
59. gautamaḥ uvāca śivam sadā eva iha
surendra tubhyam dhyāyāmi pūjām ca sadā
prayuñje mama api tvam śakra śivam
dadasva tvayā dattam pratigṛhṇāmi nāgam

59. Gautama said: "O chief of gods, I always contemplate welfare for you here and always perform worship. O Indra, you also grant welfare to me. I accept the elephant given by you."
