श्वेतं करेणुं मम पुत्रनागं यं मेऽहार्षीर्दशवर्षाणि बालम् ।
यो मे वने वसतोऽभूद्द्वितीयस्तमेव मे देहि सुरेन्द्र नागम् ॥५७॥

Gautama said: "O chief of gods, give me back that white elephant, my elephant-son, which you stole from me when he was a ten-year-old calf. He was my companion while I lived in the forest."
