महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-105, verse-12

गौतम उवाच ।
त्वामेव गावोऽभि भवन्तु राजन्दास्यः सनिष्का विविधं च रत्नम् ।
अन्यच्च वित्तं विविधं नरेन्द्र किं ब्राह्मणस्येह धनेन कृत्यम् ॥१२॥
12. gautama uvāca ,
tvāmeva gāvo'bhi bhavantu rāja;ndāsyaḥ saniṣkā vividhaṁ ca ratnam ,
anyacca vittaṁ vividhaṁ narendra; kiṁ brāhmaṇasyeha dhanena kṛtyam.

bhavantu rājan dāsyaḥ saniṣkā vividham ca
ratnam anyat ca vittam vividham
narendra kim brāhmaṇasya iha dhanena kṛtyam
12. Gautama said: 'May those cows, O king, and the female servants adorned with gold, and the various jewels, and all other diverse wealth belong to you alone. What use does a brahmin have for wealth here?'
