महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-13, chapter-105, verse-27

धृतराष्ट्र उवाच ।
ये सर्वभूतेषु निवृत्तकामा अमांसादा न्यस्तदण्डाश्चरन्ति ।
न हिंसन्ति स्थावरं जङ्गमं च भूतानां ये सर्वभूतात्मभूताः ॥२७॥
27. dhṛtarāṣṭra uvāca ,
ye sarvabhūteṣu nivṛttakāmā; amāṁsādā nyastadaṇḍāścaranti ,
na hiṁsanti sthāvaraṁ jaṅgamaṁ ca; bhūtānāṁ ye sarvabhūtātmabhūtāḥ.
27. dhṛtarāṣṭraḥ uvāca | ye sarvabhūteṣu
nivṛttakāmāḥ amāṃsādāḥ nyastadaṇḍāḥ
caranti | na hiṃsanti sthāvaram jaṅgamam
ca bhūtānām ye sarvabhūtātmabhūtāḥ
27. dhṛtarāṣṭraḥ uvāca ye sarvabhūteṣu
nivṛttakāmāḥ amāṃsādāḥ nyastadaṇḍāḥ
caranti ye ca sarvabhūtātmabhūtāḥ
bhūtānām sthāvaram jaṅgamam ca na hiṃsanti
27. Dhṛtarāṣṭra said: Those whose desires have ceased towards all beings, who do not eat meat, and who wander having laid down the rod (of violence); they do not harm either the stationary or the moving among creatures, for they have become the very inner self (ātman) of all beings.
