महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-10, chapter-9, verse-21

कालो नूनं महाराज लोकेऽस्मिन्बलवत्तरः ।
पश्यामो निहतं त्वां चेद्भीमसेनेन संयुगे ॥२१॥
21. kālo nūnaṁ mahārāja loke'sminbalavattaraḥ ,
paśyāmo nihataṁ tvāṁ cedbhīmasenena saṁyuge.
21. kālaḥ nūnam mahārāja loke asmin balavattaraḥ |
paśyāmaḥ nihatam tvām cet bhīmasenena saṃyuge
21. mahārāja cet vayam tvām bhīmasenena saṃyuge nihatam paśyāmaḥ,
nūnam asmin loke kālaḥ balavattaraḥ
21. O great king, if we see you struck down by Bhīmasena in battle, then indeed Time (kāla) is more powerful in this world.
