दुर्गा-सप्तशती       durgā-saptaśatī - chapter-5, verse-74

दूत उवाच ।
अवलिप्तासि मैवं त्वं देवि ब्रूहि ममाग्रतः ।
त्रैलोक्ये कः पुमांस्तिष्ठेदग्रे शुम्भनिशुम्भयोः ॥७४॥
74. dūta uvāca .
avaliptāsi maivaṃ tvaṃ devi brūhi mamāgrataḥ .
trailokye kaḥ pumāṃstiṣṭhedagre śumbhaniśumbhayoḥ.
74. dūtaḥ uvāca | avaliptā asi mā evam tvam devi brūhi mama
agrataḥ | trailokye kaḥ pumān tiṣṭhet agre śumbhaniśumbhayoḥ
74. The messenger said: "You are arrogant! O Goddess, do not speak thus in my presence. Who among men in the three worlds can stand before Śumbha and Niśumbha?"
