योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-3, chapter-82, verse-27

विततैवास्मि हिंसायां यत्पुरा हिंसितं मया ।
जनस्य हृदयं तेन नाड्यो वैधुर्यमागताः ॥ २७ ॥
vitataivāsmi hiṃsāyāṃ yatpurā hiṃsitaṃ mayā ,
janasya hṛdayaṃ tena nāḍyo vaidhuryamāgatāḥ 27
27. vitatā eva asmi hiṃsāyām yat purā hiṃsitam mayā
janasya hṛdayam tena nāḍyaḥ vaidhuryam āgatāḥ
27. yat purā mayā hiṃsitam (āsīt),
(tena) aham hiṃsāyām vitatā eva asmi; tena janasya hṛdayam (ca) nāḍyaḥ vaidhuryam āgatāḥ.
27. I am indeed pervasive in violence, because previously, harm was inflicted by me. Due to that, the heart of the people and their vital channels (nāḍīs) fell into distress.
