योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-3, chapter-82, verse-12

शूलादि हृदये नृणां न शाम्यति यदौषधैः ।
ततोऽहं त्वद्विधप्रोक्तमन्त्रार्थेन विनिर्गतः ॥ १२ ॥
śūlādi hṛdaye nṛṇāṃ na śāmyati yadauṣadhaiḥ ,
tato'haṃ tvadvidhaproktamantrārthena vinirgataḥ 12
12. śūla ādi hṛdaye nṛṇām na śāmyati yat auṣadhaiḥ
tataḥ aham tvadvidhaproktamantrārthena vinirgataḥ
12. yat nṛṇām hṛdaye śūla ādi auṣadhaiḥ na śāmyati
tataḥ aham tvadvidhaproktamantrārthena vinirgataḥ
12. Since the piercing pain and other ailments in people's hearts do not subside with medicines, I have therefore set out for the sake of a sacred utterance (mantra)—its import (artha)— as expounded by someone of your kind (tvadvidha).
