मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-74, verse-58

महाबलो महावीर्यः शतयज्ञोपलक्षितः ।
शिखिरिन्द्रस्तथा तेषां देवानामभवद्विभुः ॥५८॥
58. mahābalo mahāvīryaḥ śatayajñopalakṣitaḥ .
śikhirindrastathā teṣāṃ devānāmabhavadvibhuḥ.
58. mahābalaḥ mahāvīryaḥ śatayajñopalakṣitaḥ
śikhirindraḥ tathā teṣām devānām abhavat vibhuḥ
58. Śikhirindra, who was very powerful, very valorous, and distinguished by a hundred Vedic rituals (yajña), thus became the lord of those gods.
